Hot & Sweaty…

The humidity seems to have drained all the energy from the garden, as well as me. Sweat seems to pour from my skin simply by sitting still and the plants look quite sorry for themselves, despite copious amounts of expensive tap water applied daily. Butterfly Bingo…

After seeing literally hundreds of Cabbage Whites, a few Red Admirals, a couple of Tortoiseshells (one which had to be rescued from indoors!), a male Holly Blue, a Hedge Brown (see pic) and a camera-shy brown & white something-or-other, I have yet to spot the Holy Grail …..a Peacock Butterfly…
